This weekend, Tyler Sawyer spent at lot of time and sweat preparing a vehicle for the combine demolition derby at the Hillsdale County Fair.
Sunday night, he walked away with a consolation prize and the head torn off his new combine — courtesy of the derby champion, Sawyer’s former partner.
Sawyer worked in Sam Reynolds’ pit crew before this competition, his first experience as a driver. The two friends from Jonesville harbored no hard feelings, Sawyer said.
